Lest we forget
Last week, the last World War 1 French Veteran died, and while this may have not made the news anywhere else around the world, I still feel this is something important. We just lost the last witness of one of the most atrocious war... for some reason, it reminded me of a video that was playing last remembrance day here in Canada and that I found moving.
Lazare Ponticelli has died. The last living memory of the Great War ( which was supposed to be the Last of the Last).
We will never forget... but will we ever learn?
