McCain vs... by Thomas
Well it appears that the Democrat Party chose Obama to run against McCain for the presidential election in November.
Will all the white "Democrats" in southern states vote for a black man? Knowing the reality of the south of the USA when it comes to races, was this a winning move? Not so sure...

I would say that this has more to do with Appalachia as a geographical region (encompassing part of NY, PA, OH, WV, KY, and on south) than it has to do with "The South."
I'm hopeful, but I do understand the fears that go with Obama's (presumptive) nomination.
gosh that is a tough one to answer....but maybe the question is: can he beat mc cain???
